The web is still in the beginning, since the “Web Big Bang” in march 1989, the web is expanding faster and faster. Big super stars were born since that time. Super fast search engines like Google, Yahoo and Live were born, big directories with potential information about anything like DMOZ and Yahoo directory were made. Even web encyclopedias like Wikipedia and Britannica are big information stars on the Internet. Great shopping sites like Amazon and eBay came to the web in the 90′ and stil are big shopping favorites. Social websites like Facebook and Myspace got very popular in our time and are our modern web hobbies on the Internet today. But not to forget, the big star on the web: YouTube. It is one of the most visited websites on the Internet and it uses about 10% of the entire Internet bandwidth.

But nowadays there are new bees born out there on the Cyberspace. The virtual world on the Internet is now taking the web to a higher level. The Internet is moving from words, lists, catalogs and directories into the 3D dimension. It’s time for a new era on the WWW.

The virtual web is in comming. Virual chat like in IMVU, virtual shopping like in Kinset and virtual reality communities like Second Life , they show the way of the new Web. Meeting well known people fitted in avatars out there wile shopping in a 3D mall is a more greater feeling and much more exciting than that boring shopping from a list or catalog.
